Ravindra was known to me for well over 10 years and as a close mentor of him from the beginning of his career at SLIM, I admired the way he was progressing from a junior officer level to that of a managerial position with sheer dedication, commitment and attention to detail. As a first step on his ladder to career success at SLIM, we gave him an opportunity with additional responsibilities at the Admin & HR Department to work directly under myself to handle procurement work at SLIM, in addition he assisted me in asset, transport , safety & security and HR management functions. I was completely impressed the way he handled these tasks with ease and developed an excellent negotiation skills with varied suppliers ensuring best price points of purchases for the benefit of the Institute. Meanwhile, it came to light that he is from an IT background and started studying the subject pretty seriously with everyone's blessings and finally ended up achieving a 2nd class upper degree in IT from a reputed overseas university. This achievement paved the way for him to take up reigns in our IT division maintaining an excellent performance record.
